Panopto’s live streaming link allows real-time broadcasting of lectures, events, and classroom sessions, supporting remote learning, hybrid classes, and overflow viewing. However, it may be turned off to encourage students to attend class in person for better engagement and interaction.
Lecturers can hide the Panopto block from the module in myTIMeS so that students won’t be able to access the live session link. However, after hiding the Panopto block, students won’t see the module’s ReWIND recording list. You may need to unhide the block after the class or share the ReWIND recording in the module once the class ends.
Steps to Hide the Panopto block.
Step 1 : Go into the module.
Step 2: Toggle on the "Edit mode" at the top right of your module page.
icon to open the block drawer on the right-hand side and you will the Panopto block.
Step 5: Select Hide Panopto block and your're done!
Step6: Please repeat Step 1-5, to unhide the block after class end if needed.
